ACTIONS: Educate and learn from children

Around the world, young people are leading the charge on climate action. You can help your kids understand the role we all play in the environment around us—and then give them the support and resources they need to get involved.

  • Discuss as a family how to reduce your greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Invite your kids to challenge all family members to choose climate-conscious practices over convenience—and to join with others to demand effective, equitable policy changes.
  • Provide emotional support if your child is anxious about climate change. It’s their future we’ve threatened, after all. Help them channel their anxiety or anger into action.

Go Further

  • Support school policies that allow absences for participation in climate and civil rights actions.
  • Donate or provide other material support to youth-led climate action groups.
