ACTIONS: Climate action plan
Every government—city, county, and state—should have a robust climate action plan that is updated regularly with community input, particularly from the most vulnerable populations, including poor communities, people of color, indigenous populations, and people with disabilities.
If your local government doesn’t have a climate action plan, or it isn’t strong enough, meet with your city or county council member or your state legislator to discuss the reasons you need a robust plan. Share model legislation with them. Then encourage others to reach out to their representatives too.
